Building and Facilities Maintenance
On Saturday the estate roads improved throughout the day and access became less of a problem for Durham Housing and Public Buildings repairs staff. It should be noted the main roads were not an issue, these remained salted and snow free throughout the day. Yesterday 11 calls were received however only 6 of these were weather related. Over night a further 4 calls were received across both areas with only one being attributable to the prevailing weather. So all in all a quite night.
We are anticipating a rise in requests/calls when staff in schools and public buildings return to work on Monday morning principally due to heating failures.
However staff are on call all weekend to respond to issues as they arise.
