Work to solve the flooding problems in Brasside has been completed. Various damaged drains have been repaired after I intervened on behalf of residents following years of problems. Problems were found both within the estate and on neighbouring land. Significant pressure had to be brought to bear including fortnightly checks with senior officers and a lot of lobbying with the Home Office (Prison as well as London)
All credit to the Council’s “Flooding” team for putting up with my constant nagging and making sure that this work was done. Unfortunately until it rains hard we are not going to know just how much impact the improvements have made, but I know for sure there are plenty of residents sleeping a little more comfortably now down on Beech Close.
