I attended Cabinet today where the roll out of Digital Durham which will provide superfast broadband to areas of the County currently without good services was discussed.

I raised the issue which I have been plugging away at for nearly two years, namely that the village is getting terrible internet speeds as low as 0.3mb. Because it is outside of the Digital Durham area, the Council and Government funding doesn’t apply.

I asked for action from Cabinet and have been given assurances that as much pressure as possible is being put on to deal with technical issues so hopefully we will see some movement soon.
