Could all parents of children and students attending Framwellgate Moor Primary School and Framwellgate School Durham please bear in mind that Newton Drive and the roads around it are residential areas and that there are a lot of young people around. You’d think this was obvious but the behaviour of some people at the start of the new school year is less than acceptable. Blocking pavements and drives, parking on school zigzags, driving without due care and attention are all being clamped down on. This is now a 20mph zone for a reason.

I have spoken with the police and the council parking warden service and there will be a presence in the coming days and weeks in this area to make sure that it is safer for everyone.
