Westcott Drive resurfacing work to start

For the last decade, the previous Labour run council created a patchwork quilt on Westcott Drive, filling in potholes which just came back out anmd patching here there everywhere.

This must have cost more than to do a proper resurface of the road.

Thankfully this week that is exactly what is happening as part of our commitment to carrying out more and better road repairs. Sometimes patching and basic repairs will be essential, but they should not be routine.

I’m delighted we are doing some proper work this year across our area.

Recently Blackie Boy to Sniperley roundabout was also properly resurfaced, and work is ongoing in Newton Hall to replace a number of flagged pavements reducing the need for weedspraying and replacing broken flagstones.
